Services
Mechanical watches contain many moving parts. Over time, mechanical watch parts are subject to wear and tear due to friction and lack of adequate lubrication. The majority of manufacturers recommend that mechanical watches be serviced every three to five years.
Regular servicing ensures that the minimum amount of wear occurs over the life of the watch. A watch that is cared for and serviced regularly can easily be passed on for generations.
The highly complex delicate mechanisms of fine watchmaking models are the core of our business at A Watch in Time, our passionate craftsman have acquired a wealth of experience that covers all stages of servicing and regulating unique and treasured timepieces, whether it be a battery or complex overhaul our watchmaking team will be happy to look after and respect your treasured timepiece. We service all brands, including exclusive brand names such as Omega, Bulova, I.W.C. and Rolex.
We offer complete restoration services for vintage and military watches. Every possible option is explored to source old stock and genuine parts for restorations.
Upon receipt of your timepiece, we will offer a quotation in writing. Our quotations are charged at $45 however, this is deductible of any repair going forward.
The service of every watch whether it is quartz or a mechanical watch includes complete disassembly of all the movement, each part is examined for damage, and replaced if necessary the movement is cleaned and again inspected whilst being reassembled, and the movement is adjusted to ensure optimum performance, the watch movement is then oiled using factory recommended lubricants and timed and regulated, the movement is then refitted to its case, tested and timed over a period of time before being returned to customer.
